What Midjourney's guidelines say
Midjourney describes itself as an open by default community, and its guidelines say content must be safe for work. Its rule on adult content asks users not to create or attempt to create adult content, alongside a ban on violent and shocking imagery. It defines adult content to include nudity, sexual organs, fixation on such things, sexualised imagery and fetishes.
The guidelines also forbid any content that sexualises minors, forbid using images of real people to harass, abuse, defame or harm, and say the rules apply everywhere, including private servers, deleted or hidden images and Stealth Mode. For its Editor, Midjourney says it will take especially strict action against anyone attempting to produce sexualised images of real people.
What happens if you try
Midjourney says it blocks some text and image inputs automatically, and that an input not being blocked does not mean it is allowed. According to its guidelines, users who break the rules may be warned by a moderator, given a time out or blocked from the service. Trying to work around the filters puts your account at risk, and for a creator who uses Midjourney for other work, that is rarely worth it.
Midjourney also says its guidelines are reviewed and may change, so check its current community guidelines before relying on this summary.
Why a general art tool is the wrong fit anyway
Even if the rules allowed it, a prompt based art tool is not built to show the same real person picture after picture. Each image is drawn fresh from a description, so the face drifts. For a creator whose fans follow a real face, that is a dealbreaker. Midjourney is excellent at what it is designed for. Explicit content of you is not on that list.
The option for adult creators: KinkAI
KinkAI is built for exactly the gap Midjourney leaves. It trains a private model on 10 to 20 photos of you, or of a persona you invented, then makes new photo sets with the same face in every shot. Every picture is one of three levels: clothed for 1 Kredit, topless for 2 and naked for 3, and topless and naked open after a one-time ID check with Didit, which confirms you are 18 or over.
You can start from a library of tested scenes, describe your own, or edit a finished picture by describing one change. The NSFW AI image generator page shows the explicit levels, and if you are comparing creator tools, see our Foxy AI alternative page.
Cost
There is no subscription. Kredits are bought by card in pounds, never expire, and start at 75 for £15. New customers start with the Starter pack: £9.99 to train your own model, up to 15 pictures included. See the pricing page.
What is never allowed on KinkAI
KinkAI shares some of Midjourney's hard lines, and adds its own. No minors, and no one made to look under 18. No real person other than yourself. No impersonation. Nothing illegal. Read the full content policy.
Everything stays private to your account. Nothing is published or shared, and your photos are never used to train anyone else's model. KinkAI is not affiliated with Midjourney.
